What is a QC homemaker?
A QC homemaker is a trained and experienced Home Support Worker,
Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker who is chosen and
employed by (QC Home Support Service) to perform homemaking/personal
services for a client in their private home or residence.

What are QC homemaking services?
Our homemaking services consist of one to one attention tailored to your
personal needs: assistance with walking, dressing, eating, bathing,
personal hygiene and bedside care, escorting and transportation to
appointments and social events. In addition to personal care, other
services provided are: grocery shopping, meal preparation, laundry,
vacuuming, dusting, kitchen upkeep and home management.

What is a QC live-in homemaker?
A live-in homemaker works, lives and sleeps in the household on a
regular basis and provides homemaking services and home support services.

When do I need a live-in rotation?
A live-in rotation is needed when care or companionship is required 7
days per week.

What is a QC live-in rotation team?
A QC live-in rotation team consists of two permanent homemakers, taking
their turn to live in your home for 3 days each on a rotating schedule
sharing the seven day work schedule.

Why 2 homemakers?
7 days per week and 24 hour supervision per day is too much working time
for only one person on a long term basis. In order to provide quality
care a homemaker requires scheduled time off and an opportunity to be
away from his/her work.

What are the benefits of a rotation team?
A rotation team is chosen for their experience, training, personality
traits and their preference to share the live-in shifts. This in turn
provides you with the consistency and familiarity of the same 2 support
persons in your home 7 days per week.

What about backup?
Rotation teams work back up for each other, but in many cases a relief
worker is available for emergency and/or vacation. Shifts are also
available as needed.

What about cost?
QC Home Support Services live-in rotation homemakers are billed at a
flat rate not an hourly rate. We will be happy to quote you on your
specific requirements.

What if I don't like the homemaker?
We take great care in providing you with compatible staff based on your
personality, health needs and job description. However, in the event
that you are not satisfied with the staff provided or feel that you
would prefer a change, we will accommodate your requests as soon as
possible. Your happiness is important to your quality of life. It is our
goal to keep you safe, happy and secure in the comfort of your own home.
